Welcome! This is a site for posting our family photos, events, blogs, etc. As you can see, we are into athletics and give praise to God for His gifts to each of us in this area as in all areas.
Scottsdale Christian finished 2nd in the 1A/2A division and Seton Catholic was 9th in 3A. "My team really came through," said Scottsdale Christian coach Bob Shisler. "Not everyone had a great race, but we had 3 runners in the top 9. These kids are just great to work with."
Junior Marcus Shisler led the Eagles with a 2nd place finish, followed by Isaiah Klassen in 5th and Nathan Seyler in 9th. "I felt I did the best I could do," said Marcus Shisler, who finished 13th place last year as a sophomore. He finished with a time of 16:51 barely edging out Yuma Catholic senior, Pederson.
We took about 10 days at the end of June to get out of the heat and went to California to see some sights. First, we stopped off at the Reagan Presidential Library and enjoyed rich history and got to walk through air force one. Then we spent a day in Yosemite National Park and took in the beauty of God's handiwork. From there we headed up to Lake Tahoe and spent about 5 days there. Before heading back to Phoenix, we stopped in and stayed with our dear friends, the Cates, and enjoyed the time we got to spend with them.
